What is Wet Hire vs Dry Hire?

When you rent plant equipment, you will often be given the choice to have Wet Hire or Dry Hire, and they come at two very different price points.

Wet Hire means that in hiring the equipment, you are also hiring a qualified person to operate the machinery for you.

Dry Hire means that you only need to hire the plant, you already have a license to operate the machinery, or already have someone employed that can operate the machinery for you.

Given that you are also paying for labour when selecting Wet Hire, this of course means that it comes at additional cost. There are other things to consider for both options such as insurances for any damages that may occur during operation. Please contact us if you have further queries about what sort of hire is right for you.
